THIS WEEK
This is what love looks like . . .
Thank you everyone for the birthday surprise and love today!
I am thrilled to report that we signed our lease for the expansion and want to publicly thank Old Fallon LLC for working with us! Now, on to hiring the teachers.
Remember this weekend is a nice long 4 day weekend! Enjoy your families.
LAST WEEK
Last week was a busy one at Oasis Academy, please enjoy a few pictures of the busy week!
A HUGE thank you to the business leaders in our community who took time out of their busy days to act as a panel for our 4th and 5th graders who presented their business plans to them: Mayor Ken Tedford, Tedford Tires, Roger Diedrichson, Pizza Barn, DeeDee Ferguson, Cobblestone Corner, Andrea Shell, Kaia Fit!
By all accounts our students did a tremendous job presenting!
The panel also did a great job, giving real feedback and asking great questions. I think our students learned a lot!
After some rigorous auditions, we had nine Oasis students chosen to participate in the Northern Zone Music Educator's Association Honor Choir. They performed on Friday night and it was beautiful!
Sopranos: Randy May Manley, Jordan Moon, Sharah Moulton, Elena Sorensen
Altos: Hannah Evans, Chloe Overlie, AmiDayne Nelson
Baritones: Davis Benecke, Orin Sommer
The NZMEA also chooses a section leader and assistant section leader for each part. Of those six students from the entire zone, two of them were Oasis students! Elena Sorensen was Soprano section leader and Orin Sommer was assistant Baritone section leader.
Also, the top two scorers of each section, from each school get to go on to the Nevada All-State Choir. So we will have the following six Oasis students performing at the Nevada All-State Concert in Reno. Sopranos: Jordan Moon, Elena Sorensen, Altos: Chloe Overlie, AmiDayne Nelson Baritones: Davis Benecke, Orin Sommer

And, of course, the Valentine dance was a huge hit! A huge shout out of thanks to Mrs. Mori for coordinating the whole thing, all the teachers who gave up a Friday night to be here, and Mr. Billet who took great pictures for us!
