Happy Halloween

This Week

We will have parent conferences starting this Friday.  We are looking forward to talking to you about how much your child has already learned and what goals we have going forward.

Your children can wear their costumes on Thursday to school.  They cannot wear masks during the day.  If your child's mask is very "scary"  or gory we may tell them they cannot wear it at all.  The costume parade is a GREAT tradition at Oasis Academy, but we have to remember we have young students.   Your child's homeroom teacher will be in touch, if they haven't already, regarding their individual "party."

Have a safe Halloween!

Last Week

As most of you know the book fair was a huge success!  We cannot thank the committee enough for their creativity and hard work which made the entire night a huge success.

  • 174.64 made in coin drive which Scholastic will match to for students around the globe who don't have access to books like we do.
  • Around $5,000 in sales!  Which means two things- your children have great new books in their hands AND we have lots of money to spend here at the school from Scholastic.

Mrs. Marsh and Mrs. Mori had a great time carving pumpkins! Another great Oasis tradition.

Also, our math teachers attended a National conference in Las Vegas and they are all very excited about what they learned!  I am so thankful that the board of directors at Oasis Academy thinks teacher professional development is as important as I do.  I am very proud to say that 100% of our teachers have attended at least one nationally recognized conference in their speciality- that pays off for kids!

Next Week

AHHHH, It's November! It's time to start Christmas shopping! I cannot believe it!
