A Public Thank You

THIS WEEK

As many of you are aware, Craig and Carrie Mingay have been very involved in the school since it was just  "kitchen table talk"  4 years ago (lots of times it was their kitchen table)!  I can honestly say I do not know what we would have done without them- we surely would not have opened our doors when we did.  Carrie helped us get FOA up and running and Craig has been on the Board of Directors from the start.  Let me tell you, it was not uncommon in the early days for our board meetings to last until midnight, and Craig was always there as knowledgable voice of reason. Not to mention the hours he put in as we wrote our initial policy manuals, contracts, lease agreements, etc.   To this day, I know that I can call on Craig to help me out with any legal questions I might have, any contracts I might need help drafting, making sure we abide by the open meeting law and the list goes on and on!

Craig was lucky enough to get a job out of state!  We are very, very happy for their family, but sad for us (Yes, I've cried a few times)!  I think I would be very ungrateful if I did not take this opportunity to publicly thank them both for the hours and hours and hours of work they have put in to making this school a success.  The school they are moving to is lucky to get them and their delightful children (a.k.a Wonder Woman).

This week we are also celebrating Mrs. Mori's and Mr. O'Neill's birthdays!

LAST WEEK

Well, we made through week one and all the projects that it entails.  By all accounts it was big success! Thank you all so much for your support and help getting those forms back to us, getting your children here on time, and being willing to help fill in different volunteer spots.  I have a feeling this is going to be our best year yet . . .

NEXT WEEK

NO SCHOOL MONDAY FOR LABOR DAY!  Enjoy a 4 day weekend with your family!
