THIS WEEK
This is the last week to bring your "Toys for Tots" donation in. Let's get that box over flowing!
This week everyone at Oasis Academy is busy getting ready for NEXT week:
- The K, 1st, and 2nd graders are busy being producers. I have seen, first hand, some of the items they are going to be producing for their Consumers and Producers Economics project, and I can't wait until next week to become a consumer!
- The fourth graders, kinders, and sixth graders are busy getting ready for the play A Christmas Carol. Be sure to come in and get your tickets. The cost of each ticket is a can of food!
- I'm busy getting ready for our first School Improvement Meeting! I have a terrific group of people who have volunteered to help on this important team!
Also this week, our 8th graders will be going caroling on Thursday at 5.
Many of you have probably seen our cookie cutter Christmas tree in the lobby of the school. What the tags on the tree say is so true, "Volunteers we couldn't cut it without you!" When you are in the school volunteering this week or next, please pick a cookie cutter to take home and know that the staff at OA truly appreciates you! Merry Christmas volunteers!!!!!!
LAST WEEK
The students walked in to a winter wonder land! Thank you Mrs. Morrow and Mrs. Akins for bringing the Christmas Spirit to Oasis Academy! The students LOVE it and so do I!!!
NEXT WEEK
The kinders, first and second graders will be selling the items they have produced in Thrifty Finds. Parents trust me, they have made some adorable things and they will make very affordable gifts. Consider sending them with a few dollars to pick something out for you, or bring them in to pick out a treasure for Grandma, Auntie, or Siblings. They have made everything from Oasis Academy magnets, to adorable scarves. All for very reasonable prices ( $.50 to $5.00)!
The entire school will be going to the LDS church at 11:00 on Monday for A Christmas Carol dress rehearsal. Please notify us in writing if you do not want your child to attend this walking field trip.
Tuesday night at 6 o'clock the 4th graders are putting on A Christmas Carol. The sixth graders are working as the behind the scenes as the stage crew and the kinders will be singing a few songs! We look forward to a great show! LDS church on Richards Street!
Thursday we will have a brief assembly at 11:30 to present the staff their Christmas gifts! Thursday is of course our last day of school until the Jan. 7th.
