This Week
Welcome back! This week we will have a few events going on:
- Academic Olympics and Student of the Month Assembly on Monday.
- I am headed to LasVegas for a State Public Charter School Authority Board meeting and a Charter School Association of Nevada Retreat (that's fancy for LONG meeting).
- Our School Improvement Committee will meet for the final time on Thursday evening.
I also wanted to take moment and assure you that we are actively researching school safety options at the school. Over the break we met with multiple companies of whom will be getting us a quotes. The board will look at ALL options at their next board meeting January 17th and make some decisions (as always these meetings are open to the public).
Last Week
I hope that you all spent the last few weeks celebrating the holidays, spending time with those you love the most, and relaxing a little bit, like I did!! It was a wonderful break, I loved spending time with these two cuties and we packed in lots of fun and just enough down time (I actually read a couple novels that were super good and saw a good movie)!
I do want to take a moment and thank the parents who served on the Christmas Committee for FOA. Not only was the lunch delicious, but the assembly was very thoughtful. I know most of our families donated $5 to go toward their teachers Christmas gifts and the entire staff appreciated everything. The 3 Cannon Cameras with video capabilities will be used on a daily basis and the individual gift cards were wonderful. As a staff we cannot thank you enough for the love you show toward to us. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
