Remember this Thursday kicks off our "Pizza for Playground" fundraiser. You should have received and email from FOA with all the details. The money FOA makes on this fundraiser will go toward the purchase of a playground. I am happy to report that in the next 48 hours, we should have a proposal from a wonderful company called “Playworld” (http://www.playworldsystems.com) . They are designing a wonderful playground for us. We cannot afford the entire system right now, but we can afford some of it, so we will be installing some pieces of equipment sooner rather than later. We let the good people at Playworld know that we definitely wanted to install some equipment NOW for big kids. I am sure if you log onto that website you will see that they have some really cool stuff, some of our favorites are the Adventure Series and Activo. Once the design is complete we will get a picture hung up in the cafeteria so the students can see what we are working towards. We told them, we aren't an ordinary school, we don't want an ordinary playground!
We also want to remind you that we are collecting "Box Tops," "Campbells," "CapriSuns," and Print Cartridges. All the money from these fundraiser will go toward the purchase of an archery set that students will be able to use in P.E. The cost of the school archery set is $2,000 (www.usgames.com). Thank you for taking the time to collect these items for us, I know it is HARD to remember, but it will pay off for our children if we do!
