Microwave Use Policy
We are happy to have 4 microwaves for students to use. We hope that together we can take care of them and use them reasonably. We will talk to your children at school about using the microwaves, but we need your help as well.
1. Send only items that take 3 minutes or less to heat up!
2. If your child is in k-2 please write on the item how long it should be cooked.
3. Please send a napkin to cover the item up with, this will help us avoid major splatters, and save a lot of time. If you child’s food splatters in the microwave they will be responsible for wiping it up.
4. Items CANNOT be heated up in Ziploc bags. If your child is brining something in a Ziploc please put a paper plate or other appropriate dish in their lunch for heating.
5. If students cannot wait in line respectfully or continue to make messes in the microwaves they will lose microwave privileges.
Thank you for your help keeping the microwaves in sanitary, working condition. We are lucky to have this option for our students!
